The work performed by RADA is guided by its primary purpose to eliminate poverty and make its clients more self-sufficient. This is accomplished by the development of resources and services to low-income individuals and households in its jurisdictions.

RADA wants to meet the current needs of people and then teach them to stand on their own without any public assistance. Sometimes emergency assistance is necessary to meet immediate needs such as housing and food. Without employment programs that train and place people in jobs and the Keys for Success program that provides low-cost transportation, many area residents would be without the resources they need to achieve self-sufficiency.
