SERVICES

Children's Services | Emergency | Energy | Housing | Self-Reliance

RADA, as your Community Action Agency in Lee, Scott and Wise Counties and the City of Norton, provides services in five major categories:

  • Children's Services - technical assistance and training provided to Head Start centers, child day care centers, and family day homes
  • Emergency - one-time financial assistance with rent/mortgage payments, utility or water bills and/or food
  • Energy - installation of more energy efficient heat sources and insulation as well as energy education
  • Housing - home rehabilitation and improvement services
  • Self-Reliance - assistance for elderly and disabled residents with maintaining their independence and Transportation programs

For most of its programs, RADA uses the Federal Poverty Guidelines (seen below) as established by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. These are updated annually, usually in February.
